Publication
Editorial Standards
What we will and will not publish, and how to tell the difference between a measurement and an estimate on this site.
Numbers
Figures are given with the conditions they apply under: a dosage range without a matrix and a process is not information. Where a number is a manufacturer specification rather than something measured, it is described as one. Where we do not have a number, the page says so rather than supplying a plausible-sounding one.
Sourcing
Regulatory claims cite the regulation. Technical claims either cite a source or are presented as mechanism that a reader can check. Inline citations link to a Sources section at the foot of the page; the build fails if a citation has no matching source, so a dangling reference cannot ship.
One question per page
Each page answers a single question and states the answer in its first sentence, before any context. This is enforced in the content model — a page without an answer field will not build.
Authorship
Every page carries a named author with a stated role. We do not invent credentials.
Placeholder content
Research reports whose figures are not yet populated are marked as demonstration data at the top of the report. The methodology on those pages is real; the numbers are explicitly pending. We would rather ship an empty table than a convincing invented one.
Commercial content
Commercial units are labeled and limited to one per page. See our disclosure.
Corrections
Substantive corrections are made in place and the page’s updated date changes. Where a correction changes a conclusion, it is noted on the page rather than quietly edited.
